Giving Back

"Each time we stand up for an ideal, or act to improve the lot of others, or strike out against injustice, we send forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. You’re happiest while you’re making the greatest contribution.”

                                                                                                                  Robert F. Kennedy

The Co-Creation Community has a deep commitment to service and making a difference in the world. Service means so much more than financial donations, though donations are the life-blood of all non-profits, and always needed and always appreciated. When we find a cause that resonates with our Core-Values, we can all offer the service of our 'gifts'; volunteering time, items of specific need, or simply sharing awareness with our own contacts and community.  These are some of the causes WE support.

A-Place-To-Call-Home

Story connects us to our Humanity. The Humanities and Arts communicate those Stories. The result is Cultural Transformation.

A-Place-To-Call-Home is a co-creative community arts initiative using Story to communicate through multi-media:

Spoken Word/Audio, Prose & Poetry, Music, Visual Arts, Performing Arts,

Film/Video, and New Media

The purpose of this project is to shift perceptions from a "Them & Us" mindset to one of "Common Humanity" where, through collaboration, creative solutions to difficult and multi-faceted problems can be developed, creating the kind of world in which we all wish to live.

Co-Creation Community Champions, Susan M. Davis and Betty Louise are the Co-Founders and Co-Project Directors of the A-Place-To-Call-Home project.

     Operation Freedom Paws

Four paws. Two feet. ONE TEAM.

Operation Freedom Paws empowers veterans and others with disabilities to restore their own independence. Operation Freedom Paws trains veterans and others with disabilities to train their own service dogs. We leverage the ability of the canine-human relationship to help our clients regain their sense of purpose, worth and value to society and their community.

Founded in January 2010, Operation Freedom Paws is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that matches dogs with individuals who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(CPTSD) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) symptoms, or other physical, neurological, psychological or mobility needs.

We train the individual to train their own dog, and then certify them together as a service dog team in a 32-week program. Most of the dogs come from rescue shelters.

This unique opportunity enables our clients to feel safe and secure, and to manage their day-to-day lives. The very special therapeutic canine-human relationship helps them get back out in their communities and begin to view their future with renewed hope.
